The Kirk Family of Goodland, Florida have been in the business of harvesting and selling stone crabs for six generations. Damas Kirk shares wisdom and history from his forty years in the crabbing business. Kirk shares how stone crab fishing came to be in Southwest Florida and how regulations have changed the way crabs and other fish are harvested. Damas' daughter, Kelly Kirk, a sixth generation stone crabber who now runs the fish house and is set to take over the family business, shares how she decided to carrying out the family tradition of "Impacting lives with fresh seafood." Kelly also shares the challenges she has overcome as one of few women in the crabbing business.
